HSEF Reaches Tentative Agreement

After many long sessions of negotiating HSEF is happy to announce we have a tentative agreement. We would like to take a few moments to thank the districts bargaining team, Superintendent Eakins and School Board members. Click to read the highlights!

Clarification on External Audit

To dispel any rumors that may be circulating and make sure our members are kept in the loop with everything that is going on, please see the following statement and if you have any questions or concerns please contact the office at 813-231-2030.

HCPS WILL NOT OUTSOURCE CUSTODIANS

The district will abandon seeking outside contractors to take over custodial operations and move forward with a true pilot program for Centralization. The pilot will begin this school year in a number of schools and eventually be fully implemented across the district in the school years to come. More detailed information about the implementation will come before the School Board as the process moves forward.

We will hold a regularly scheduled Union Training every Monday & Wednesday at 10am and 6pm through the end of the school year. This training will support our members seeking to become activists and leaders in our union. Check our Events Calendar in the Member Resources tab for availability and contact the HSEF office to register for a class!
